The Sound Quality of SOUND TIGER Sonata/Sonata4.4

This is a single-ended (unbalanced) dedicated unit developed by incorporating technology gained from SOUND TIGER Sinfonia. It achieves non-piercing highs with clearer resolution and tight bass response. The simple and clean sound signature of single-ended output is satisfying for piano solo pieces, as well as rock and pop music. It also excels at reproducing acoustic instrument sources like classical music and jazz, including vocal pieces.

Basic Specifications

• Single-ended input/output headphone amplifier.
• Standard Sonata's output jack supports both 3-pole and 4-pole 3.5mm connections. With 4-pole plugs, you can enjoy beautiful sound with GND-separated single-ended output without inverse phase crosstalk.
• Sonata4.4 only differs in having a 4.4mm output jack and is not balanced output. Enjoy beautiful sound with GND-separated single-ended output without inverse phase crosstalk.
• Features a Class-A operating transistor buffer circuit, making it a semi-discrete configuration.
• Full balanced design, ideal for DAPs with balanced output.
• No volume control implemented to avoid sound quality degradation.
• Gain switch on the circuit board allows reducing white noise in Low Gain mode.
• Suitable for earphones/headphones with sensitivity above 98dB. (Some models below 96dB may not achieve sufficient volume.)
• 14 hours operation with new 1900mAh rechargeable batteries.
• Uses AA batteries. Recommended for sound quality: Fujitsu white batteries, Fujitsu black batteries, and Premium S for alkaline.
• Performs best after 50 hours of aging and 20 minutes after power-on.
